We are the Littau family.We are a blended family. We were married in 2007. We knew we always wanted children. We found that it was hard for us to have kids so we fostered for awhile. Finally we were able to adopt 3 wonderful siblings in 2016. COVID-19 hit the country and the kids were out of school, we loved going camping up in the mountains. After years of looking for that perfect cabin to get away from it all, we decided we were going to get a camping trailer to do short weekend trips. With the housing market booming, we thought we would look for a bigger house but we found that those houses were way out of our price range. After the schools decided they were not going back to classroom instruction anytime soon, we made the decision to homeschool and embark on this journey to see the United States. What better way to homeschool and learn.

I retired from the Air Force in 2011. I continued to work on airplanes after retirement. While I still love to work on airplanes, I just want to relax and see the country. I love to travel and while I don’t use them, I like drones, and some forms of photography. Maybe this experience will help me to use them more and become more proficient and confident.
